An alternate way to view the videos is to right click on the link and save the file on your desktop, then open the file in your Quick Time Player. If you don't hear sound, look for a small icon that looks like a speaker in the lower left corner of the video box. Left click and hold it. A slide bar will appear. Move your cursor over to the ball and slide it up to the top. If you let up on the mouse, the slide bar will disappear.
