Eve drove me over to Wales for a couple of days.  It had been a while since she had visited and she was agreeable to go.  Our first stop was at the Centre for Alternative Technology and, I am sorry that I didn't take many pictures.  However, they have a very nice website http://www.cat.org.uk so you can check it out if you are interested.  I recommend the virtual tour.
These are the pictures I do have.

This is the only picture from the CAT.  You can see it is difficult to capture with a photo. You can see a couple of wind generators.

This was our B&B in Machynlleth.  It was a step back in time.

The front garden of the B&B. Taken at dusk.

The sitting room.

The wallpaper in my room.

A welsh church.

The clock tower in the town centre.

Now, this is a classy  B&B. David and Ingrid no longer operate their home as a B&B, but it comes in handy for visitors.

A nice conservatory room.

Believe it or not this used to be a farm building for livestock.

The welsh countryside.

What a view! And, yes those little white spots are sheep.

We visited a slate mining museum. This is the blacksmith shop.

A hill of slate.  This was a hard life, but surprisingly paid pretty well.

This is Eve and I with David and Ingrid at the "Tap and Spile" where the pub received a commendation for their offerings of ale.
